longboard skateboards
Posted on November 21st, 2009 No commentsLongboarding has seen a massive surge in popularity recently. It has become a lot more than a cult or small following by surfers in California. Now it is essentially a sport of its own. The boards differ from typical street skateboards in that they normally have a more directional deck design. On top of this the wheels are normally of a much softer rubber compound and larger in size. The wheels therefore provide a much smoother ride, accelerate more slowly, but can travel at high speeds. The most important skill to learn when you start longboarding is how to stop. Most people use a technique known as foot braking. This is where you leave your front foot on the deck and lower your rear foot onto the road or path. You gently transfer pressure onto your rear foot therefore braking. This does have a habit of getting through your footwear pretty quickly so you will need a source of cheap skate shoes.

Roasting Your Own Coffee
Posted on September 25th, 2009 No commentsIt is possible to roast your own coffee and there are two different types of coffee roasters. The easiest and least expensive machine is a fluid bed roaster also called a hot air coffee roaster. This machine roast coffee in the same way as you would pop popcorn. This is excellent for those wanting to quickly and easily roast coffee.
A more advanced version of roasting coffee that also is more expensive is by using a drum roaster. Commercial coffee roasters will use drum roasters as they provide more even and uniform roasting. Unlike the fluid bed roaster the drum roaster takes longer to roast the coffee and you cannot easily check on your coffee to determine when to stop roasting.
Regularly roasting your own coffee isn’t for the casual home brewer. Getting your own drum roaster is a big time purchase of one of the more advanced coffee maker accessories.

A New House And New Gardening Equipment
Posted on September 16th, 2009 No commentsThe idea of buying a house surrounded by beautiful gardens has always been an attractive one. I am aware that gardens require care taking and that I would need to get myself a few gardening gadgets such as a cordless leaf blower and probably a rake.
I can see myself driving to our mart and contemplating on which one would be the best to buy. I imagine it to be yellow. Don´t know why but whenever I think about it I see a bright yellow blower. Apart from the gadgets I would love to have sunflowers and roses and tulips surrounding the terasse.
First of though I am going to follow a friend´s tip and get myself an Earthwise Blower and a cart. A sandbox would be nice too. And a pond.

Boudoir photography advice
Posted on September 8th, 2009 No commentsIf you’ve never had thought about boudoir photography before, you may be a bit nervous at your first session. Don’t worry, the photographers have pointers that will help ease you into the “shoot”. Once you get to the professional studio, the hairdressers and costumers will be busy getting you ready to have your photographs taken.
You may buy the outfit that you wish to be photographed in, or you may use some of the studio’s stock costumes. Either way, you will undergo several wardrobe changes, where items of the costume may be added or taken off, to change the look of the pictures. If you visit a professional studio, they will be more than willing to help you choose what you look the best in. Boudoir photography usually tells a story, so your wardrobe will flex, with that goal in mind.

Your Urban Beekeeping Adventure – Where To Put The Hive
Posted on September 3rd, 2009 No commentsDid you know that you can keep bees in an urban setting? Bees are very industrious little creatures and will travel up to 4 miles to find nectar to make their honey with. Before you bring a beehive into the city though be sure to check with your local regulations as they vary greatly.
Where to put your beehive.
Once you find a honey bees hive for sale to buy, you may wonder where to put it. In a high-population urban setting there are basically three options.
If you are lucky enough to have a yard you can locate a bee hive in your backyard. A rooftop also works well, but if all else fails you can actually keep bees inside your apartment in what is called an observation bee hive. This type of hive looks like a giant ant farm, and you can’t collect honey from it, but it allows you to watch the bees at work in their hive, which is always interesting.
However you decide to pursue your urban beekeeping adventure, have fun and happy beekeeping.

Envelope Design Decisions
Posted on August 10th, 2009 No commentsWhenever you are trying to choose your wedding invitation envelopes there are a lot of decisions that you will have to make. It is usually good to look at the envelopes before committing to any style of invitation. The reason for this is that the envelope can greatly determine what size and even style of invitation you decide to choose. For example if you decide to use lined envelopes or even inner and outer envelopes this will lend itself to a more formal style invitational. Although the envelope may seem like a simple part of your wedding invitation ensemble, it really does add character to the entire message and can completely change what is being communicated with the simple addition of the liner or even the shade of the paper. These are all important things to think about. I would say that these decisions are just as important as the design of the invitation.

Cricut Gypsy Review
Posted on August 3rd, 2009 No commentsIn this day and age, everyone seems to be busier then ever, leaving less and less time for our hobbies, such as scrapbooking. Provo Craft has realized this and given us an answer to our prayers, a portable scrapbooking device called The Gypsy. Cricut Gypsy review after review has told us how wonderful this device is and how everyone must own one.
Is this a fact?
In my opinion, yes it is. One hard thing about owning a Cricut Expression machine is the fact that when I wanted to use it, I would have to bring the machine AND all the cartridges with me in order to design a new project. With the gypsy however, all of my cartridges are stored on one central location, and I can design whatever I want on the electronic version of a cutting map.
Never has scrapbooking been easier and more convenient. Every spare moment has a purpose now. Whether I am in a doctors office waiting room, my car, or just lounging on the cough, all I have to do is pull out my 11-ounce Gypsy and design away.
