How to Get Rid of Leg Hair

There’s no doubt about it. It’s a brave female these days who displays hairy legs in public unless she does not care what anyone thinks about her lack of grooming at all. Luckily there are quite a few methods you can use for leg hair removal.

1. Shaving

One of the easiest ways to remove hair is to use a disposable razor in the bath or shower. Lather up well and then shave your legs from ankle to knee in small strokes taking care not to cut yourself or nick the skin. Add more soap whenever required if the lather gets washed away. Rinse your legs and you’re done! If you prefer to be able to shave on “dry land” think about getting a lady shaver. If you buy a wet and dry model you can use it in or out of the bath.

2. Depilatory Cream

Using depilatory cream means you have no risk of cutting yourself and you will get an extra day or two of being hair free. Whereas with shaving, hair quickly grows back (and it feels blunt) with hair removal cream you get a smoother effect and hair is “dissolved” nearer the skin surface. You do have to hang around covered in pungent smelling cream for a few minutes however while the cream gets to work.

3. Waxing

If you want smooth legs for 4 or 5 weeks at a time try waxing, either with one of the many home waxing kits or by booking an appointment at a salon. You may find waxing very painful at first but you do get used to the sensation and it is wonderful not to have to bother with removing hair in between sessions.

4. Laser Hair Removal

If you want to get rid of your leg hair for good, give laser hair removal a try. You need to have quite deep pockets to afford it but if you are keen some clinics offer payment plans. Just be sure that you know all the pros and cons before you go ahead so that you know what you are paying your money for and are aware that you might not get perfect results.
